Conor Furlong is an Irish solo artist from Dublin.
He is influenced by artists such as: A-ha, R.E.M., Nirvana, Arcade Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, AIR, The Monkees, Phil Spector, and Mercury Rev, among many others.
Paintings and films often influence him as much as music. Monet, Miro, Dali, Hundertwasser, Van Gogh and others. They have often made him want to try to create songs that could in some way compliment their extraordinary visuals. He is a huge fan of the films of Hitchcock and the music Bernard Herrmann composed for those films. Especially the score that Herrmann composed for “Vertigo”.
In order to recreate the arrangements and sound of his songs on stage, Conor performs with a band of incredibly talented musicians who help him recreate the songs live.
In his own words, “I try to make music that I love, and hope that you might love it too.”
