Thank you to all who came to my show in The Mezz Venue last Thursday.

Here are some photos of the gig. They were shot by my brother Declan, except for the last photo, which was shot by Kieran Murphy.

I knew Derek because he was responsible for booking bands for Dublin venue Whelan’s. He was the reason I was able to play there on a number of occasions.

He was so kind and supportive. I remember long telephone conversations we had when he would give me invaluable help and advice as to how I should best approach life in the music industry and how to avoid the pitfalls. I hope he knew how much that meant to me.

He was a great man. Kind-hearted, generous of spirit, enthusiastic about all things music and, most of all, genuine.

The Irish music community has lost a giant, and a gentleman.

I will miss him.

I will be playing in The Mezz on Thursday 22 July.

My band and I will be on stage at 8:30pm.

The night is a fundraiser for Irish band Morning Hush who aim to raise funds for the recording of their new album.

Tickets are €7 and will be available on the door.

On Wednesday 19 May I will release the fourth single from my album “Playing With Fire”.

The single is called “Are You Gonna Sleep Tonight?”.

I will be releasing a different version to the one that appears on the album, along with a new version of “Godless”.

Both songs will be available to download from this website for free.
